Darn. I'd wanted to write about some new finished projects, but I don't have the camera cable to download all the photos. So, tomorrow (hopefully), I will write about the first installment of my Kitty Couture ™ collection—a pink sweater which I am calling, Blush. I also have a couple pictures of the second baby bib, finished, though buttonless. I feel confident that the pattern is now complete (after the seemingly countless number of corrections I posted over the weekend).
I've also made some more progress on the Fiery bolero and the Teardrop lace scarf. I really want to finish these projects soon and I have to finish the scarf to clear off the needles for the bolero. But, I do want to wear the bolero while the weather is warm.
Well, since I didn't have any projects to post about (with pictures, that is), I thought I'd take the time to list some facts about me... This was a meme that went around a few months back (or maybe it was last year)? I really enjoyed reading everyone's lists. So, I hope mine is interesting.
7 (kinda) Random Facts
1 I started knitting, really, because I was tired of shopping for baby gifts for friends and family. It seemed, at the time, that more and more friends and family members were having kids and I wanted a more personal touch to the gifts I gave at baby showers. So, I thought that, with knitting, I could design gifts for each newborn baby. Well, designing is not as easy as knitting; Five years later, I have a bunch of finished projects (including baby garments) and ONE design!
2 I love paper and stationary. I used to be that person in class who was always folding colorful sheets of paper into cranes, flowers, and boxes. I never really got into the more advanced folding projects, like the modular pieces my friend, Erica, usually makes; but, I had fun with origami. The love of stationary, on the other hand, has left me with more Hello Kitty notepads than I know what to do with them.
3 I'm a big fan of post-apocalyptic-cataclismic-end-of-the-world type movies and novels. I prefer the movies, though, since I can't exactly read and knit at the same time. Zombie movies fall into that category.
4 I love to listen to Korean pop music and watch Korean dramas. I just do. Korean dance music (e.g. Turbo, Koyote) is especially fun when I'm at the gym.
5 I can't swim. I wish I could, I really do. But, there's something about treading water—I just don't get it. Also, it doesn't matter if I'm submerged in a swimming pool, I'm convinced that there's a shark about to attack me from a place where I can't see it. Since, I usually have my eyes closed in a pool, this means they're... everywhere.
6 I have a twin sister named Sophea. Yup. Our parents named us: Sophea and Sophy. (She's the older twin.) She also knits and crochets, but I can't seem to convince her to blog about it. Instead, she's my biggest blog critic--so, you might have noticed a few changes here and there.
7 I'm going to the SF Giants Stitch 'n Pitch tonight. I will knit either (a) more of the Teardrop lace scarf, or (b) Knucks, in Rowan Denim. Maybe I'll see you there!?
