So, in the past few days, I've noticed so many lovely patterns for fingerless mitts and I have to share them with you:
Now, you know I *heart* herringbone, so it's no surprise that I absolutely adore Craftoholic's herringbone handwarmers. These are a variation on Elliphantom's herringbone mittens, the project that reawakened my herringbone obsession enough for me to design/knit my herringbone tweed hat. I love the colors and the stripes on the thumb gusset!
If you want a colorful pair of fingerless mitts, you have to check out the purl bee's Daisy Stitch hand warmers. They're so pretty and probably very warm since they're knit with thicker yarn and needles. Also, the stitch pattern looks like such fun. (I'm knitting endless stockinette right now—BORING!)
As though she read my mind, this morning, Hilary emailed me a another lovely pair of mitts: Lauren Phillips's stripey fingerless mitts. They're so simple and the colors are awesome!
Ah. All these distractions that would lead me astray of my goals. Hopefully, writing about them will get them out of my head long enough for me to knock off the items on my checklist!
Happy Knitting!
