turning seasons and two sleeves

i was happy yesterday when i woke up hours early because it was cold in the bedroom. i crawled out of bed and tugged the comforter out of the layers of folded wash, threw it over the bed, and climbed back in to fall asleep again. it was so comfortable, i woke up late. of course.

after lunch i decided to work outside for a bit. though it was very sunny, there was a cool breeze ruffling the pages of my notebook while i sat in the courtyard and wrote:

working outside.
the sputtering wireless drove me back to my desk after an hour.

well, i just wanted to drop a quick note to show you progress on my tangled yoke cardigan (TYC). The body and two sleeves are finished:

Tangled Yoke Cardigan
look! look! at last—sleeves!.

i joined the body and sleeves and am currently knitting the stockinette section before the cabled yoke. it's slow going, but you expect that with almost 300 stitches, right? i'm really happy with it, to the extent that i'm carrying it around with me though my chances of finding the time to knit throughout the day are pretty minimal.

happy knitting!

Woo hoo! Congrats on finishing the sleeves -- you're almost there!!

i know! i'm so excited! three inches of stockinette never seemed so impossible as when each row is 270+ stitches... ^_^
